What is Clinical Canine Massage Therapy?
Clinical Canine Massage is a non-invasive therapy, which by rehabilitating soft tissue injuries, can typically help to reduce and manage pain levels, improve flexibility, mobility, range of movement, mood, and comfort, also benefitting those dogs recovering post-surgery. It can help with activities of daily living such as going up and down stairs and general exercise. Massage can be beneficial to both pets, and working and sporting dogs, helping to improve performance and comfort.

Massage Therapy can provide chronic pain management for dogs with orthopaedic conditions such as Osteoarthritis, Hip and Elbow Dysplasia, Cruciate Ligament Tears, Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) and Osteochondrosis (OCD).

In some cases, massage can provide comfort for those dogs with Cancer, in a palliative care form, however this would need to be discussed first with myself and your Vet.
Canine Massage and your Dog
I will always work with your dog at their pace, ensuring they feel relaxed. This helps to build trust, so that your dog can fully benefit from each massage session.
Home, or Away?
Canine massage sessions take place in the secure, spacious, and air-conditioned, Four Borders Canine Massage Therapy Clinic. In certain special cases, I can offer home visits.

Meet Fiona and Her Four Border Collies
My name is Fiona Skinner, and I live on the edge of the New Forest, on the Hampshire/Dorset border with my husband Graham, and our beloved four border collies, Archie, Charlie, Solar and Lunar.
Where did my story begin?
I first discovered Canine Massage Therapy in 2017, and I was so impressed that I signed up for the one-day Canine Massage Guild Beginners Workshop!

Results may be seen in just
1 - 3 sessions
Typically, a therapist will see results in as few as three clinical canine massage sessions. It is possible that you may notice that your dog is already feeling more comfortable and happier, after just one session.
Here are just some of my client reviews

George
“A huge thankyou from George, our 80kilo Leonberger. Since the introduction of our puppy Leonberger, Dave, George needs regular maintenance massage to help him manage the strenuous playtime, and to help keep his middle and lower back, trigger points at bay.“

Skye
"I took Skye to agility training following her massage sessions recently. She was awesome and turned on a sixpence. I really believe the massage sessions have done her the world of good! Thank you again, from me and Skye"

Kenko
“ I can’t thank Fiona enough for her expertise in treating our elderly dog Kenko. Following Fiona’s gentle maintenance massage he fell into a deep sleep comfortable in his bed”.
